Ever since I became a Walt Disney World Cast Member and went through Traditions classes (initial training for all Cast Members where they learn about company culture and traditions) I've become curious and enthralled with all the details inside the Disney Parks. What really kicked it off was the part of training where we got a special tour of the park where we'd be working. For me this was Disney's Hollywood Studios (then Disney-MGM Studios). The tour was about 3 hours and we were taken all over the park including into backstage areas. We were shown where costuming was, where the Cast cafeterias were located and we visited our work areas. But part of the tour, the part that opened my eyes to a new way of seeing and experiencing the Disney Parks, consisted of the facilitator giving us short histories about the buildings, designs and details. She explained that the park was laid out in a timeline starting in the 1920s. She pointed out names on windows and shared why they were important. Why was there a lake with a dinosaur in it? She explained that too! I WAS HOOKED! So when it came time to think about a logo and a friend and fellow Disney lover offered her graphic design skills, I knew we'd come up with some befitting of Disney fan podcast. Like the parks this logo is full of references and meaning. Each element, color and font represents something unique and and specific. Come along with us to learn about our logo AND some fun Disney facts that you might not have known! You can also watch this video on Facebook!
